Kris Obah, M.D.
Dr. Obah is double board certified in Interventional Pain Medicine and Internal Medicine. He received his medical education in Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Nigeria, one of the oldest and best medical schools in the country. He worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees where he rose to become the Head of the Medical Team, clinic administrator/Camp Clinics Supervisor within his 5 year stay with them. He then migrated to the United States to join the Mount Sinai SOM (NGH program) where he did his residency program in Internal Medicine. Given his in-depth desire to help anyone in pain and improve quality of life, he joined the University of Utah to do his fellowship training in Anesthesia (Interventional) Pain Management. He received the prestigious ‘Best Patients’ satisfaction award both at the U of U and Mount Sinai SOM program. Dr. Obah also won the Pfizer Scholars in Pain Management Award, the first ever at the University. He is also certified by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to treat substance abuse and Addiction. He served as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Utah for a number of years before going into private practice. He encourages a multidisciplinary approach to pain treatment.
Being raised in a close-knit family that cherishes compassion, integrity, and hard work, Dr. Obah believes that greatness is measured by the accomplishment of those we aid and continually improves himself to better serve others. He believes that real fulfillment comes from helping others to heal. He does not mind going the extra mile to provide the best treatment plan for his patients.
Cindie G. Dodenbier, BSN, MSN, C-FNP
Cindie is a native of Utah and has lived her entire life here to server her people. She believes that Pain Management has been her passion and higher calling over the years, and has run 4 chronic pain management programs in her pain management career. She always believed in the philosophy of patient safety and her highest priority is to deliver the appropriate and adequate care to her patients. She uses her ‘5 rules of Pain Management’: #1 Improve quality of life; #2 Increase Function; #3 Decrease pain; #4 Minimize side effects; and #5 Safety. She does not mind to go the extra mile to accomplish her goal to provide the best care for her patients and is well liked by them. Cindie obtained her BSN in 1998 “Magna Cum Laude.” She is double board certified in Family Nursing Practice (ANCC) and American Academy of Pain Management. Cindie is especially excited to join our team to add her extensive experience and commitment to excellence to the continued culture of best patient car at Lifespring PMC. Cindie is also a patient educator and has spoken for several pharmaceutical companies including Teva (formally Cephalon), Forrest, and Pfizer. She was honored with Top Patient Educator and Patient Teaching Award in 1999. She hosted the radio program Medical Moment on KDXU St. George for four years. Cindie is married to the love of her life, Bruce Dodenbier and together they have raised 10 amazing children. She loves family time, reading, hiking, rock hounding, farming, crocheting, and quiet time.
